Turner Gill Future Jobs

At the end of the year as a Mid major, you always have to play the is my coach and as a result my program going to pack the U-Haul and skip town.  This year we are relatively safe, the benefits of going 4-7 (so far) but I feel Turner Gill has 7 potential offers:

1) Kansas

Why? - This team has a recent BCS appearance, and it would put Turner Back in the BIG XII

Why Turner? - Hiring Fit, Black, Friendly, Nurturing Turner Gill to replace Big Fat White Angry Abusive  Mangino shows the nation that Kansas is looking to do a 180 for the sake of their public relations, oh and their athletes.

X - Factor? - Turner's oldest daughter attends KU, which kills two birds with one stone, 1) His family would be reunited and 2) He could save $19,327 in annual tuition by working at KU and getting his daughter's tuition costs waived.

2) North Texas

Why? - Denton is 45 minutes away from Turner's home town of Fort Worth, Texas.  Turner attended and coached at North Texas in 1990.

Why Turner? - North Texas was a BCS Buster before there were BCS busters.  However their current coach has only 5 wins in 2 seasons.  Last time the administration went with a High School coach, if Turner goes for the hometown pitch, he may be the best college coach they can get.

X - Factor? -

The guys who built the new Dallas Cowboys stadium are putting their genius to work on North Texas' new home which should be ready for the 2011 season.  Also, recruiting Texas star players is easier when you coach in Texas.

3) Notre Dame

Why? - Why not, Notre Dame is the highest profile job in college football.

Why Turner? - Well Notre Dame already went black this decade which didn't work, although Ty's recruits went to a BCS bowl.  However, after paying Weiss 18 million to leave, you could probably get Turner Gill to South Bend relatively cheap.  Plus Gill would spend lest time bringing SoCal athletes to the Midwest, and more time winning the best athletes in the Midwest.

X - Factor? - Notre Dame has chewed up and spit out coaches in 3 years, It only took Turner 3 years to win in Buffalo.

4) Cincinnati

Why? - Cause the Big East is where the Mid-Major coach goes to get street cred.

Why Turner? - Cause the MAC is where Cincinnati goes to get good coaches.  Brian Kelly came from Central Michigan.  This job would be open if Kelly jumps ship for Notre Dame.  Also, Turner has played Cincinnati rival Miami of Ohio (2-2) and Big East foes: Pittsburgh (0-2), Rutgers (0-1), UConn (0-1) and Syracuse (0-1), so he is familiar with the opposition he will face at Cincinnati.

X - Factor? - Cincinnati is a top 10 team and the highest ranked team on this list.

5) Colorado

Why? - Boulder is beautiful and in the Big 12.

Why Turner? - A program that still struggles to win without crazy prostitute parties solid recruiting, Turner brings a wholesome attitude and a winning spirit.

X - Factor? - Turner turned down an Offensive Coordinator position because he didn't want to coach for a rival of Nebraska, does he feel the same way now after Nebraska passed on him twice?

6) Florida State

Why? - Florida State is one of the major schools currently struggling to win.

Why Turner? - Who can replace Bowden? FSU has a coach in waiting, but more of the same means more losing right now.  Turner can breathe life into FSU's Sleeping Giant of a program.

X - Factor? - none

7) Michigan

Why? - Cause few can deny the lure of the Big House, even after Rich Rod leaves it in foreclosure and smears shit on the walls for the next occupant to clean.

Why Turner? - Michigan, cannot win the big game vs Ohio State.  Turner wins the big game.  His biggest win, was in Michigan,  vs #13 Ball st. at Ford Field.

X - Factor? - Current Buffalo AD Warde Manuel is in the running to be the new Michigan AD, if Warde gets the job, does he bring Turner with him?
