Bowling Green Daily News...Not So Fast of the Week

Just walk away.  Don't desert us, It's just a mirage

So I was late night web surfing and I found this article from the Bowling Green Daily News Blog http://bgdnwkublog.wordpress.com/:

A source close to current Buffalo head coach Turner Gill told the Daily News this morning that Gill has interest in the open position for head football coach at Western Kentucky.
and later they updated:

The source who told the Daily News on Wednesday that Gill had interest in the job, said representatives for Gill spoke with Selig today and that discussions about Gill and his interest in WKU have begun.

Say it ain't so Turner, not only for Buffalo but for yourself.

A) Western Kentucky is in their first full year as a FBS D-1A team.  You just did the rebuild project at Buffalo, why do that again.

B) WKU is in the Sun Belt, arguably the lowest profile conference in the nation, can you name 4 teams in the Sun Belt?

C) Kentucky is reeling as a football state.  Louisville is bad, Kentucky is bad.  It isn't New York where your in state competition is the awful Orange and Army.

D) Turner is still a legend in Buffalo, and has real rivals in Al Golden and Frank Solich, honestly Ohio, Buffalo and Temple are young teams, and next year all 3 teams could end up at the top of the conference and possible near the bottom of the top 25.

Not so fast Bowling Green Daily News...Turner is the guy who turned down a job with Oklahoma because he felt it was disloyal to Nebraska.  He may be politely entertaining your offer, but he is not going to turn his back on Buffalo, at least not for WKU.
